A growing number of women (& men) are hurting in our area – from lost healthcare coverage, layoffs and/or fear.
This is why we're hosting a Pink Weekend this October – a weekend to mark
10 YEARS of raising money, awareness, and providing access to
mammograms and diagnostics that save lives.
Pink Weekend Main Events

Friday, October 17 (7 PM) – ALX Pink Gala
Dance the night away & bid on silent auction items at ALX Community ("the Atrium") wearing your favorite pink-tie (optional) attire or fun pink accessories.

Sunday, October 19 (7:30 AM) – Walk to Bust Cancer
Lace up your favorite shoes, bring your well-behaved pup, and join us for a morning 1.3-mile walk around Fort Hunt Park. We'll kick off the walk with short remarks and a mindfulness moment in our Circle of Strength. ** Early Bird Registration runs through Sept. 19.

Join us and expect to have fun! You'll be inspired and meet the oh so many survivors, passionate supporters, sponsors, providers, and neighborhood friends who are building a strong community of support.

In addition to mammograms, many women will also need follow-up screenings, biopsies, ultrasounds & follow-up treatments. The more we raise, the more we can support our neighbors to stay on top of their health care.

$25 – Helps us provide educational materials for women about breast cancer screening

$50 – Covers transportation costs for a woman to/from screenings or treatments

$100 – Covers a mammogram or office visit

$250 – Covers an ultrasound
-
$500 – Covers a biopsy
*2024 nonprofit rates negotiated by the Foundation with its network of amazing partners.
No woman should miss her chance at early breast cancer detection or treatment - not out of fear, lack of insurance, or cost.
